Established in 1911, KGMU is one of the oldest and most respected medical institutions in India, serving patients, training doctors, and conducting research from a single campus in the heart of Lucknow.
KGMU runs one of the largest government hospital networks in North India. Patients from Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring states visit for everything from routine consultations to complex tertiary care, all at government-regulated rates.
The OPD operates Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Registration counters open at 8:30 AM. Walk-in tokens are distributed on a first-come basis, but booking your slot in advance through our helpline ensures you are seen without a long wait.
BPL cardholders are eligible for subsidised or free treatment. Carry a valid BPL card on the day of your visit. For all other patients, consultation and registration fees are far below those of private hospitals.
